Why Yoga?

What do you see when you think about yoga?

The warrior pose, or the tree perhaps? Movement into embodied posture is of course yoga.

So is conscious breathing, meditation, intelligent consumption, right speech (internal & external dialogue), works of service, self-awareness and a personal-growth mindset.

All roads lead home. And as such, yoga is the journey where you are the path and the warrior and the scenery and the guardrails. Yoga is the thousand year-old, peer-reviewed technique for wholeness and peace. This peace we cultivate by directing the mind to unite with the body through the experience of breath.

So yes, let’s practice yoga for fitness, breathe for vitality, visualize and embody the subtle animating forces that make our hearts beat, brains envision and bodies move.

Here I am yoga-ing too; playing with the consciousness of choice.

Why Kundalini?

Yoga, in the Kundalini paradigm, assists in the rejuvenation of the nervous system and the unlocking of dormant brain capacity.

Through breathwork, spinal movements, visualization and relaxation we recover the genius and vitality that resides within and is available to everyone.

Thus, we practice kundalini yoga as a technique to increase the body’s capacity for a higher amperage electrical activity in the nervous system, organs and cells.

This process was developed over millennia, peer-reviewed through scientific studies, and elucidated by Swami Satyananda Saraswati through his work and eventual establishment of the Bihar School of Yoga.

The seeker will always find his door, which is equally destined to draw the opening.
