StorY
The journey to any destination begins with a desire for change.
Your body will tell you it’s time to try something new: it will present to you a health crisis. And in my case, my nervous system was signaling words like “asthma”, “chronic fatigue,” “PCOS”, “hypothyroidism.” I was tired of being tired and needed to make some changes. So, as one does, I began to experiment with my diet, movement and environment.
I got on the holistic train; went gluten- and dairy-free; did veganism; went carnivore and paleo; tried acupuncture; flower essences; sound baths & Reiki; powerlifting; cold-immersion; flotation, jungle life, India. Yoga threads through all of these periods, initially as an athletic practice, eventually evolving into mindfulness and a way of life.
That’s because yoga is the “union” of all modalities, all aspects of experience through mindfulness. I’m most yogic of all when I wash the dishes.
So did yoga cure me?
Well, as they say, there is only one cure for life. And also, yes. 🍍🍍
Today, I promote, educate and guide yoga practices as a system of movement, philosophy and a way of life.
